About The Position
The Staff Chaplain offers spiritual guidance and pastoral care to patients, families and staff. In addition to offering direct spiritual care, the staff chaplain connects patients with their preferred faith tradition, interfaces with spiritual care volunteers and area clergy, works as an interdisciplinary team member, offers supportive services for staff, and assists the lead staff chaplain. On-Call one night per week and one weekend per month.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree from an accredited seminary or school of theology.
- In good standing with candidate’s denominational authority.
- Minimum of 1 Year Experience working with patients and family members dealing with a health crisis, responding to trauma, and death/dying experience. Pastoral experience applies towards this.
- Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
Nice To Haves
- Master of Divinity or equivalent Degree (MDiv)
- 1 Year Hospital chaplain, training in grief counseling, crisis intervention, and/or basic mental health care experience preferred.
