The Chaplain is to provide spiritual support to residents through counseling, preaching, teaching, worship, and visitation. This position will be performed in accordance with TANDEM LIVING Core Values, Mission Statement and regulations.
Provides pastoral care to residents, family, and team members.
Provides a pastoral presence within the community.
Provides formal and informal visitation to residents (crisis care, new residents, on-going support); and documents appropriately.
Officiates at, hosts or attends funeral and memorial services for residents.
Leads Sunday Morning Worship: (Preaches and worship leads on Sunday mornings on an ongoing basis (minimum 2x a month). Provides a weekly bulletin.
Leads a bi-weekly Bible Study for all residents.
Leads weekly worship services for the residents living with dementia on their household.
Assist and provides back-up support to the Director of Pastoral Care when needed such as hosting Catholic services, scheduling pianists, and/or communicating with team members.
Master of Divinity or equivalent Masters level of educational experience.
Minimum of 1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (C.P.E.) or equivalent intensive chaplaincy training.
A minimum of three (3) years of preaching and pastoral care experience, five (5) years preferred.
Ordination and experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Chaplaincy experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
