The PRN Chaplain for Saint Luke's Hospital provides religious spiritual care and counsel for emotional distress to patients, their families, and intimate networks, as well as to hospital personnel, students, and volunteers. The role requires attention to diverse spiritual orientations and cultures, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary partners in care. The Chaplain participates in and/or conducts liturgical worship services and celebrations, initiates plans, and implements improvements to care delivery. Additionally, the Chaplain provides education and consultation relevant to religion and health, and offers consultation regarding ethical issues in patient care. The Chaplain also serves as a resource person for Clinical Pastoral Education Interns, Residents, and other students. This position works only as scheduled, with no minimum hours for service specified or promised. Individuals who are Board Certified or eligible for Board Certification can be considered.
