The position is PRN (as needed) and involves responding to the emotional and spiritual needs of patients, family members, and fellow employees while participating in a multidisciplinary care team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and one CPE unit required.
• One year experience.

Responsibilities

• Meets the spiritual and emotional needs of patients/families through timely assessment, intervention, and communication.
• Collaborates with co-workers to accomplish departmental goals and offers assistance to balance workload.
• Responds to physician referrals in the same day they are received to contribute to the satisfaction of the medical staff.
• Reports all safety/security risks to contribute to a safe environment.
• Intervenes in crisis situations to provide support in navigating initial spiritual and emotional issues for patients, families, and co-workers.
• Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the overall financial performance of the department.
• Covers on call shifts as assigned.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
