About The Position

The Chaplain will visit with patients and their families, providing counsel and direction on problems and questions of spiritual guidance and personal adjustment. Provides Sacraments per patient request. The Chaplain provides information to patients who request it on the Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare. The Chaplain provides inspirational literature and other religious resources to patients and their families. Collects and archives data on visits. Generates reports as needed for management. Conversant with computer and communication technologies (e-mail calendaring, internet savvy) needed to maintain flow of information in the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
  • Ecclesiastical endorsement.

Nice To Haves

  • Four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
  • Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains.
