About The Position

The Chaplain Pastoral Care position at Baptist Memorial Health involves providing pastoral care to patients, families, and colleagues through various services such as visitation, crisis and bereavement care, and worship services. The role requires on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays, and is supervised by the director of Pastoral Care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Master of Divinity (or equivalent) from an accredited seminary.
• 1600 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent directly related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Current driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• More than 1600 hours (4 or more units) of CPE preferably in residence.
• 2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides pastoral care through routine and/or referral visitation.
• Provides crisis and bereavement care during times of deaths, codes, and other emergencies.
• Contributes to the development and implementation of support activities for patients, families, and colleagues.
• Provides chapel/worship services as required.
• Completes assigned goals.
