  • Performs assessments of patient's spiritual needs, motivations, and background.
  • Prepares spiritual histories for patient summaries and treatment records.
  • Provides pastoral counseling and spiritual care to patients in support of their substance abuse treatment plans.
  • Provides pastoral support to family and support members as needed.
  • Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely.
  • Completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participates on a multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Communicates with clinical and medical staff regarding patients' treatment and status.
  • Provides daily chapel meditations as well as spiritually focused group counseling and educational lectures.
  • Serves as a spiritual care resource and advisor to facility management.
  • Provides spiritual mentoring and training to staff as requested.
  • Ordination by, or licensure from, a recognized ecclesiastical body that ensures pastoral privilege.
  • One (1) year of experience in pastoral ministry.
  • CPR certification.
