About The Position

The Chaplain Intern Minister serves as a student chaplain under CPE supervision. This role involves providing spiritual care and support to patients and families in a hospital setting, as well as participating in educational components of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). The intern will engage in crisis ministry and will be responsible for fulfilling all CPE classes and requirements. Additionally, the intern will serve in rotation with other chaplains as the overnight on-call chaplain, ensuring that spiritual care is available at all times.

Requirements

• 1 year experience as a volunteer in a service organization or ministry setting

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in any field, with a preference for religion or behavioral health
• Theological school training or degree
• Board Certified Chaplain
• Ordained or commissioned by an ACPE recognized faith group as a minister
• Licensed as a minister

Responsibilities

• Visiting hospitalized patients and families
• Providing crisis ministry
• Successfully completing all CPE classes and requirements
• Serving in rotation as the overnight on-call chaplain
