YOUR MISSION The Channel Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in driving success by ensuring optimal product availability and placement throughout the global retail network. This multifaceted position is responsible for developing accurate forecasts, optimizing inventory levels, and curating compelling assortments that reflect Tiffany’s brand standards and meet client expectations across global markets. This role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a keen understanding of the luxury retail environment to balance sales opportunities with inventory efficiency, minimize stock-outs and overstock situations, and support new product launches. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a passion for luxury goods and a commitment to operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Over 8 years of progressive experience in inventory planning, merchandise planning, demand or channel planning, watch experience a plus
  • Proven expertise in inventory management principles, forecasting techniques, and assortment optimization strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, interpret complex data, and drive actionable recommendations
  • Ability to manage and uphold departmental standards and business direction
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse cross-functional teams
  • Proven project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to function and lead effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (advanced skills required) and PowerPoint; experience with inventory management software and BI tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with Geneva teams, develop and execute comprehensive inventory strategies for all Tiffany & Co. watch categories across global markets, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess and obsolescence
  • Lead the forecasting and planning of inventory receipts, considering lead times, production capacities, and sales trends specific to the luxury watch industry
  • Monitor inventory performance through key metrics such as sell-through, turn, and weeks of supply, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Manage the allocation and replenishment of watches to boutiques and distribution centers, optimizing product availability and minimizing out-of-stock situations
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain, Finance and Product Development Teams in Geneva to be aware of product availability
  • Collaborate with Geneva Teams to implement strategies for managing slow-moving or discontinued watch inventory
  • Manage the development of productive worldwide assortment plans for Tiffany watch collections across all phases of the product lifecycle, ensuring seamless brand alignment across global markets and reflecting the unique characteristics of each watch market
  • Lead data-driven assortment reviews for watches, providing actionable recommendations at the item and store level based on in-depth analysis of sales data, forecast, productivity metrics, space optimization strategies, and brand positioning goals
  • Collaborate with regional teams to develop high-impact watch assortment plans for new store openings and support region-specific business objectives, ensuring an optimal balance between sales, productivity, and in-store space for timepieces
  • Adapt to and further optimize new assortment planning systems, identifying future process enhancements to increase agility and efficiency within the watch category.
  • Refine and validate sales forecasts for watch collections, providing inventory-related insights and adjustments based on historical performance, market trends, and promotional activities
  • Manage monthly forecast file, providing sales forecast data at a collection level
  • Partner with regional teams on quarterly forecast reviews
  • Support budget process with regional watch and merchandising teams to ensure alignment and visibility
  • Partner closely with Watch Product Category Management, Global Assortment Planning, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams to achieve product strategies, financial objectives, and product delivery goals for the watch category
  • Collaborate with merchandising and zone partners to align on inventory and assortment strategies for new watch launches and new boutique openings
  • Lead discussions with regional and internal cross-functional teams to share insights, strategies, and priorities for current and future watch business
  • Cultivate strong, collaborative partnerships with zone counterparts, fostering open communication, transparency, and a shared vision for success in the watch market
  • Lead and coach analysts to prioritize projects, ensure accuracy of analyses and develop for future growth
  • Prepare staff evaluations, coach staff through regular one-on-one and group staff meetings, follow company guidelines and Performance Management timeline
  • Ensure staff training of new systems and processes (product data management, pricing, architecture maintenance)
  • Build personal and professional development through training opportunities and regular feedback sessions with staff and VP
  • Support VP with execution of departmental and cross-functional initiatives
