About the position

The Channel Marketing Director, Club will be responsible for being the “Chief of Staff” for the Field Sales team, providing analytical insights, identifying opportunities for growth, and for creating presentations to support the initiatives of the company. This role is the main liaison between the HQ internal cross-functional Ferrero teams and the Club Team and Broker agencies. They will also be responsible for creating scorecards to monitor and analyze sales performance on key brand priorities and identify category trends. The position is located in our Parsippany, N.J. office, and will report to the VP of Club.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual planning / Session business reviews with Club Team and internal x-functional team
  • Deliver volume, Net Sales, trade rate targets across the channel and manage tracking
  • Drive accountability with Field Sales team and internal teams to deliver top KPI / PPA priorities for Club
  • Create business reviews, line reviews, new product launch presentations and seasonal presentations for our Club customers (Costco, Sam's Club, BJ's) and the leadership team
  • Facilitate and lead weekly / monthly team meetings with Club Team and Trade Marketing partners
  • Co-develop the channel strategy with VP for rolling 3-year periods
  • Analyze post promotional events, promotional effectiveness, distribution opportunities, assortment recommendations and seasonal sell through
  • Develop innovative scorecards to analyze business performance & complete ad hoc requests for SLT/ELT
  • Coordinate scorecards across all Customer global geographies
  • Provide actionable insights on performance, trends and opportunities to the team
  • Provide supporting material and recommendations for the planning process
  • Analyze trade spend compared to sales performance and targets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross functional teams and broker partners
  • Utilize data sources to analyze the data and create compelling sales stories

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, M.B.A. is a plus
  • 5+ years of CPG experience
  • Forecasting and Trade management experience
  • Direct Sales Account management with regional or national retailers
  • Knowledge of IRI, ACN, ShopperSights, Spectra, Retail Link and RSI
  • Strong analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented with solid planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a proactive and timely manner
  • Ability to generate positive relationships and foster a team environment
  • Good communication skills, including strong writing and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel occasionally
