About The Position

The Channel Development Representative (CDR) at Johnson Controls is responsible for driving sales growth within the Applied Parts business by maintaining relationships with existing customers and identifying new sales opportunities. This role involves extensive interaction with various internal teams and requires proactive engagement with customers to achieve sales goals and enhance profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience required.
  • HVAC/manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and communicate resolutions effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing email mailing lists for marketing purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with existing Frick IR accounts to achieve sales goals.
  • Proactively identify parts sales opportunities within the assigned customer base.
  • Make outbound calls and follow up on open quotes to build relationships and win opportunities.
  • Utilize company BI tools to analyze sales trends and report findings to the Sales Enablement Team.
  • Act as a conduit between customers and parts hub personnel regarding quoting and parts identification.
  • Oversee responses to customer order and quotation requests received via various communication channels.
  • Serve as the primary conduit of information regarding marketing and training initiatives.
  • Facilitate product returns and train customers on warranty processing.
  • Serve as account administrator and train customers on system tools, especially EasyParts application.
  • Distribute customer-facing communications and presentation materials.
  • Partner with customers to understand unmet needs and conduct VOC interviews.
  • Fulfill occasional field requirements for customer-specific sales and performance reporting.
