About The Position

The Channel Development Representative for NetApp SLED is responsible for the day-to-day sales support and customer service activities for assigned accounts, territory, or product(s). This role focuses on growing and developing new business by proactively calling and engaging partners to increase sales. The representative will work on rebuilding underpenetrated and neglected relationships with Arrow customers, providing product information, and following up on quotes to close business. The position involves identifying, enabling, and developing high-potential and non-repeat partners, understanding customer requirements, and translating products and promotions into benefits for customers. The representative serves as a liaison between Arrow’s internal resources and customers, demonstrating a proactive approach to anticipate customer needs and communicate effectively.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of SLED within the IT Sales Channel.
  • Working knowledge of SLED RFPs.
  • Data center sales experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in own discipline.
  • Ability to solve a range of complex problems and analyze possible solutions.
  • Typically requires a 4 year degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day sales support and customer service activities for assigned accounts.
  • Focus on growing and developing new business by proactively calling and engaging partners.
  • Rebuild underpenetrated and neglected relationships with Arrow customers.
  • Provide product information and follow up on quotes to close business.
  • Identify, enable, and develop high-potential and non-repeat partners.
  • Generate leads and follow up on leads obtained through suppliers and Arrow internal sources.
  • Qualify prospects, analyze sales potential, and prioritize high-return opportunities.
  • Manage vendor special pricing programs and track requests for approval.
  • Process quotes and prepare orders based on customer purchase orders.
  • Participate in a sales compensation plan with variable OTE tied to sales-related goals.
