About The Position

Peraton requires Change Managers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. Change Managers are responsible for overseeing change management activities. The Change Manager shall manage, monitor, and update the Enterprise-wide Change Management process when introducing any change into the IT production environment. The Change Manager require extensive experience with managing hardware and software configuration changes, Configuration Control Board (CCB) change requests, Certificates of Noteworthiness (CoNs), and other change related activities. This position is responsible for implementing change management processes and procedures, assessing management needs, and implementing plans to guide the information technology (IT) organization to a mature change process. The Change Manager shall recommend and, when approved by the Government, execute standardized methods and procedures for the efficient and prompt handling of IT Service Requests for standard and non- standard change in order to minimize any negative impact of change to availability or quality of the service. The Change Manager ensures solutions and infrastructure changes are introduced in a controlled, yet efficient, manner. The Change Manager also ensures that the Change Management processes include interfaces to the RM, CM, Asset Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and NetOps processes. The Change Manager must possess excellent interpersonal, business management and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Min 6 years with HS Diploma, 4 years with AS/AA degree, or 2 years with BS/BA
  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II
  • Have a demonstrated ability to communicate exceptionally well both orally and in writing, as well as have a positive customer service attitude.
  • Strong proactive team player.

Responsibilities

  • Provides daily monitoring and compliance of the Request for Change (RFC) tickets/registry; reviews assigned RFCs to ensure proper Categorization, IMAC and template assignment. Ensures completeness and accuracy of the requirement is provided/documented by requester prior to assigning for approval or implementation.
  • Documents relationship of changes to other requirements, incidents configuration items or services.
  • Identifies requirements requesting addition of new/not approved hardware and software to the network environment to ensure assessment, assignment for attendance at Change Boards, assignment for testing/certification as appropriate prior to items being attached to the network.
  • Assists in providing guidance to junior members of the Change Management team on ticket assignments and other assigned responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Supports/facilitates Change Board meetings, including review of requested change, notification to customers/subject matter experts and appropriate approval authorities, conference room is allocated for the meeting, and appropriate communications are available. Ensures notes are taken, minutes of the meeting are prepared in a timely manner, requirements are updated with approval/disapproval and required next action, and the requirements reassigned as appropriate.
  • Oversees schedule of planned/approved changes through the Forward Schedule of Change (FSC).
  • Publishes and communicates the approved FSC to appropriate IT and mission personnel, according to policies and procedures.
  • Conducts change reviews, and reports results of changes, impacts, and change effectiveness metrics; includes successful RFCs (having met the change objectives) or those cancelled/abandoned.
  • Measures performance of the Change Management process using the established KPI(s) and metrics; ensures changes meet objectives based upon established KPI(s) and metrics. Determines follow-up actions to resolve situations where the change failed to meet objectives.
  • Works with Configuration Management to ensure changes affecting CI(s) are reflected in the CMDB.
  • Performs analysis of change-related incidents and provides reports as directed by the Government.
