About The Position

Mass General Brigham (MGB) invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Chair, Department of Radiology. MGB is an integrated academic healthcare system, which includes its two founding academic medical centers, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), three nationally renowned specialty hospitals, McLean (Psychiatry), Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and network, and Mass Eye and Ear (all Harvard teaching hospitals), seven community hospitals, multiple ambulatory sites, urgent care facilities, physician groups, an insurance company, home-based care, and long-term care services. Requirements

  • The position requires an accomplished physician and leader with the ability to advance the clinical, teaching, research, and administrative activities of the Department, MGB, and HMS.
  • The individual will be nationally and internationally recognized as an outstanding clinician, teacher, and investigator in the field of radiology.
  • The successful candidate will have distinguished academic credentials, including an MD or MD/PhD degree, and accomplishments in research, training, and clinical expertise, commensurate with appointment to the faculty at the rank of Professor (strongly preferred) or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School.
  • Detailed operational expertise, sharp focus on innovation and entrepreneurship, ability to plan and execute system-wide strategies, commitment to developing high-functioning teams and future leaders, and deep financial acumen, are critical to this Chair’s ability to deliver on Departmental and system-wide goals for MGB.
  • Relocation is required for this leadership role.
