Overview The Chain Account Executive drives revenue growth by developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies, tactics, and marketing plans for Southern Glazer’s represented Suppliers across assigned Off-Premise chain accounts within their designated market. This sales-focused role is responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets through strategic relationship building, consultative selling, and collaborative account planning—as well as coordinating and monitoring the execution of in-store features, promotional activities, and merchandising.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree plus 5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of experience in sales, sales management, category/brand management including but not limited to merchandising, product promotion, and supplier/vendor relations
  • Previous experience in global chain account management or brand management, or prior extensive experience with as a Supplier or with a Consumer Goods company
  • 10 years of sales and marketing experience including sales management supervision
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 35lbs

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales revenue and profitability growth by achieving and exceeding assigned sales goals for select National Chains and/or Local Chains within assigned market
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that maximize market share, distribution gains, and category growth across assigned chain accounts
  • Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with assigned chain buyers, merchandising teams, and key decision-makers to influence purchasing decisions
  • Conduct compelling sales presentations and business reviews that demonstrate SGWS’ value proposition and secure new business opportunities
  • Lead regular business reviews with state leadership, assigned accounts, and suppliers to report on sales performance, distribution gains, and program effectiveness
  • Coordinate and monitor advertising, in-store features, promotional activities, and merchandising execution
  • Coordinate administrative aspects of chain sales calls, account meetings, and account visits including logistics and follow-up documentation
  • Provide market information and competitive intelligence to internal and external stakeholders regarding pricing, merchandising, and market trends
  • Coordinate inventory management activities to include stock level monitoring, replenishment planning, and allocation support
  • Investigate and resolve service issues associated with assigned accounts; secures agreements relative to: product availability, delivery, pulls; promotion and programming performance; pricing discrepancies; and quality of market execution; responds to account and Supplier questions, concerns, and/or complaints
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
