About The Position

KBR is seeking a highly skilled CH‑47F Block II Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Mid‑Tier Acquisition (MTA) Rapid Fielding effort for the Army’s premier heavy-lift platform. In this role, you will apply deep technical expertise to ensure successful production, integration, and delivery of the CH‑47F Block II fleet to the warfighter. This is a high-impact position supporting one of the Army’s most critical modernization programs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field ( 8 years of military/industry experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
  • 12 years of applicable experience
  • Must possess a current Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with CH‑47F Block II configuration, engineering, production, or sustainment.
  • Experience analyzing engineering drawings, ECPs, NCRs, and quality/manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience briefing senior Government leadership and produce high-quality technical documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • DAWIA certification (Engineering, PM, or Logistics).
  • PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Former CH‑47 Warrant Officer or OEM (Boeing) engineering/production experience.
  • Master’s degree and/or Ph.D in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Program Management
  • Background in Army Aviation, aerospace engineering, production engineering, or lifecycle logistics.
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs; MTA or rapid fielding experience preferred.
  • Experience planning and executing PRAs, PCAs, or supplier audits.
  • Demonstrated mentorship and training experience with Soldiers, Government staff, or OEM teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical knowledge of CH‑47F Block II systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve platform-specific engineering, production, and logistical challenges.
  • Support the successful execution of the Block II MTA Rapid Fielding schedule.
  • Conduct detailed technical reviews of: Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) Engineering drawings and technical data Manufacturing records, NCRs, and NOEs Deliver clear, concise, and actionable recommendations to accelerate review cycles and prevent delays.
  • Develop and present executive-level briefings and technical summaries to Government leadership.
  • Conduct mentorship and targeted training for Soldiers, Government personnel, and contractor staff.
  • Facilitate cross-team communication to drive alignment and rapid decision-making.
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of active CHPMO production contracts.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Supply Chain organizations to meet cost, schedule, performance, and safety requirements.
  • Lead or support assessments including: Production Readiness Assessments (PRAs) Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) Supplier capability and quality audits Identify risks and validate production readiness.
  • Develop and deliver formal and informal training on Block II systems, production nuances, and operational employment.
  • Lead a structured knowledge transfer program to build a self-sustaining level of expertise across the enterprise.
