About The Position

The CGL2 QC Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, inspecting, testing, verifying, and documenting material produced, general housekeeping, and general maintenance. The CGL2 QC Technician will maintain the equipment and validate the processes required to inspect and test produced material, as well as ensure that all required documentation is accurately recorded and up to date. This individual will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as they will be expected to work with metallurgical and technical staff to conduct trials for product and process improvements and provide data, as well as effectively communicate within their team to identify product defects and quality issues with produced material. The CGL2 QC Technician will obtain knowledge and understanding of customer expectations and products intended uses to assist in the production of the highest quality product for consumers. This individual must be able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of coatings processes
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays
