About The Position
The employee will be responsible for cutting, grinding, and finishing aluminum castings to meet quality standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate grinding, cutting and finishing tools to remove excess material from aluminum castings.
- Smooth and refine surfaces to meet design specifications, ensuring the highest quality finishes on aluminum products.
- Perform trimming and deburring of castings to eliminate sharp edges and imperfections.
- Use hand tools and power tools (grinders, sanders, etc) to finish parts.
- Inspect castings during and after the grinding and finishing process for defects, such as cracks, surface imperfections, or incorrect dimensions.
- Ensure the finished products meet internal quality standards and customers specifications.
- Maintain and care for finishing equipment, ensuring tools are in proper working condition and replaced, when necessary, to prevent equipment downtime and ensure safe operations.
