About The Position

Family Ties Home Care has a client in Hollywood are who needs weekend help with ADL's as well as general upkeep of house and walking dog several times a day. she is 78 and had a stroke and heart attack all within the last year. She uses cane or walker and would like help with her "chores" but also is very independent does not wish to be hovered over. Would like to have her meals made for her. Client is a smoker and has a large but very friendly dog . Requirements

Current HCA or higher certification
Caregiving experience of 1 year or similar experience
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to follow the pre-set care plan and medication schedule
Ability to lift 35 pounds
Ability to assist with client's mobility as needed
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work the schedule as described

Responsibilities

Following a pre-set care plan
Standard ADLs (personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene assistance)
Assist with medication reminders
Monitor and report on client's well-being
Light housekeeping, laundry, & other household daily chores as needed
Grocery shopping & errands
Cooking/meal preparation
Scheduling appointments, including doctor's
Communication with Family Ties HC management & family members/loved-ones regarding the client's daily status
Daily notes
Other duties assigned as needed
