  • Six years of paid social service experience and 30 semester or 45 quarter credits in a Social Service discipline, or a Bachelor's degree in social services with two years of experience, or a Master's degree in social services with one year of experience, or one year of experience as a Social Service Specialist 2 for Social Service Specialist 3 level.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of social casework principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessments and deliver services for children and families.
  • Conduct permanency planning for immediate and extended family members.
  • Assess the need for out-of-home placements and collaborate with families to find suitable options.
  • Provide psychosocial summaries, home studies, and correspondence to outside agencies.
  • Facilitate out-of-home placements and review the need for continued care.
  • Supervise and place dependent children in foster or approved placements as necessary.
  • Prepare and document cases for court proceedings, including written and oral testimony.
  • Utilize FAMLINK to document case activities and maintain records.
