Requirements

  • A high school graduate or equivalent (required)
  • Excellent communication and listening skills to properly address patient needs (required)
  • Customer Service or service-related experience is a plus (required)
  • ABO Certification or Licensed in state outside FL.
  • Ability to interpret spectacle prescriptions.
  • Assist in patient frame selection.
  • Knowledge of the latest technology in lens designs
  • Skilled in frame adjustments and repairs
  • Explanation and application of vision insurance benefits
  • Use of computer order entry and verification of eyewear order accuracy for quality control
  • Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and manage time accordingly to meet deadlines and requirements of the organization.
  • Full-time position with days and hours Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm.
  • Travel to other locations as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Listen and address needs of patients as evidenced by company standards and policies.
  • Answer the phones, and communicate patient’s needs to the Opticians and Technicians.
  • Efficiently take orders for contact lenses, create contact lens encounters and order lenses from ABB or another supplier.
  • Navigate insurance websites to assist patients with the available benefits and costs associated with their plan.
  • Sell and create encounters for accessories.
  • Learn the lensometer.
  • Oversee Frame Inventory.
