About The Position

The Packer Avenue Marine Terminal is operated by Greenwich Terminals LLC and is one of the most productive terminals in the United States. The facility employs 12 highly productive and safe in-house labor crews and offers 19 start times which creates greater flexibility for vessel departure and arrival times. This adds up to cargo being moved faster, discharged faster, and saves distributors time and money. A growing Philadelphia area Stevedore and Terminal Operating Company is seeking highly motivated individuals to work as a CES/CFS Manager. Successful candidates must be able to work in a fast paced, drug free environment. Candidates will have to direct, supervise, and assign work to ILA Longshoremen assigned to sea container stripping and stuffing operations and in coordination with terminal and governmental entities. Candidates will also monitor all facets of these operations, including truck loading/unloading operations, as well as proactively resolving personnel issues. These individuals will also integrate with other terminal supervision activities and work closely with other Departments to ensure that there is seamless integration between same. Individuals should possess the following qualities at a minimum: Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to professionally interact with Governmental Agencies Ability to solve problems, look ahead to avoid problems, and follow work through to completion. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and have the ability to supervise and direct unionized groups of individuals. Must be able to assume a leadership role in oversight and participate in safety program. Ability to coordinate with internal departments, customers and their agents, and vendors. Good correspondence and computer skills a must (Word, Excel, and Outlook/Lotus Notes) with the ability to learn in house network. Ability to work flexible hours as required.
