About The Position

Job purpose To provide high-quality fractional finance and accounting services to multiple small businesses. Duties and responsibilities Review/Analyze Income Statement and Balance Sheet compared to prior period, budget, and forecast. Create and update a financial model/forecast in Excel. Analyze key metrics and profitability by client, segment, job, etc. Implementation and monitoring of month-end close activities to ensure consistent review of financials. Review and document key financial processes and controls and implement new procedures. Can train and work closely with client accounting staff or bookkeepers when necessary. Coordinate with auditors, tax CPA's, and bankers to provide financials and support. Knowledge and research needed to convert financials to GAAP when needed. Lead client relationships regarding questions and concerns. Effective listening skills, ask quality questions, and provide actionable insights to help clients meet key financial goals. Project Management of key tasks across team to meet deadlines and streamline work. Provide monthly financial commentary and presentation either in person or via screen share. Participate in the analysis and pitch for new business in order to establish a relationship from the beginning. Build relationships and network with others to generate new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge (ex. V-Lookups, Sum-ifs, Pivot Tables)
  • Good verbal and writing skills to communicate well with clients.
  • The initiative, drive, and entrepreneurial spirit to not only help clients grow but also have a desire to expand the business.
  • 2-5 years of CFO or Finance Director experience
  • Live in the Dallas / Fort Worth area
  • 40 hours per week
  • Flexible and can work at home or in any remote environment
  • Need good internet access and computer for screen share and video conferencing.
  • Can travel to client location if needed.
  • Client location could be anywhere in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

  • MBA and CPA are preferred.
