Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The Air & Space Defense Systems Finance organization is seeking a CFO for the Mission, Solutions, and Payloads (MSP) SSBU, responsible for the financial management of all MSP programs and contracts with annual revenue of $1.2B. In this role you will have 5 direct reports and a team of ~60 analysts supporting classified and unclassified programs. The role partners directly with the MSP VP to drive forecasting, risk and opportunity management, investment and strategy decisions, and EAC process. You can expect to have frequent interaction and collaboration with various functions, customers, US government agencies and multiple levels of leadership, which will require you to possess strong presentation and communication skills and have a solid understanding of financial performance management, processes, compliance, and governance. Finance serves as a critical business partner by providing proactive business structuring, analysis, insight and guidance to enable tactical and strategic decision making, driving product line business performance to achieve and exceed financial objectives. This role will provide overarching financial governance, cost controls, financial planning and financial change management to the MSP Programs. This position will require travel to Aurora, CO and El Segundo, CA. Relocation assistance will be offered with this position.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 14 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting or related business role; or an advance degree and 12 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting or related business role.
  • Experience in managing staff and leading business teams.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 50+ finance professionals across the U.S., responsible for coaching, mentoring, and learning
  • Drive complaint financial management of a large portfolio of programs
  • Lead EAC’s, EVMS, AOP execution
  • Partner with the MSP VP and leadership team driving predictable financial outcomes, growth, and program execution
