We are seeking a computational fluid dynamic (CFD) modeling engineer to support the growth of our team. Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or higher
• 0 to 5 years of directly relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
• Engineer-in-Training Certification
• Experience with CFD modeling software packages (Ansys products, OpenFOAM, Star-CCM+, Flow-3D, or similar)
• Knowledge of numerical modeling and methods
• Strong interest in water and/or wastewater process
• Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Work well in both in person and virtual team environments
• Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
• Proficient in MS office products

Nice To Haves

• Free surface/open channel hydraulics
• Multiphase flows
• Wastewater process models such as ASM variant's or ADM1
• Water disinfection kinetics, chlorine, ozone, UV

Responsibilities

• Develop and run CFD models of water and wastewater treatment components and conveyance infrastructure
• Develop sub-models of chemical reactions and biological process
• Work on engineering planning and design projects
• Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
• Data entry and analysis
