About The Position

Support and advance the international dimension of The Ohio State University by providing professional expertise in the research, design, planning, and administration of faculty-led global education programs of high curricular relevance for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) and the Office of International Affairs (OIA). Participate in meetings alongside the CFAES Global Education Manager with Ohio State faculty, chairs, college global education liaisons, and other stakeholders to answer questions and provide guidance and advice on the creation of new, alternate year, and re-occurring faculty-led global education programs. Plan, develop, administer, and ensure operational excellence for faculty-led global education programs. Implement re-occurring academic international opportunities for Ohio State students in conjunction with college global education liaison, departments, faculty, and chairs. Research and negotiate prices with travel service providers, host institutions located throughout the world, write specifications for bid-eligible programs, develop managerial program budgets for an assigned portfolio of faculty-led programs, and manage complex programmatic and fiscal arrangements with providers, host institutions, and faculty directors. Perform research on best practices in faculty-led global education programming, concepts and trends, global competencies, and inclusive global education advising and programming. Develop and lead strategic outreach and recruitment for the assigned portfolio to ensure broad and equitable participation by all candidates. Manage admission process, develop and deliver specialized orientation materials to admitted students and faculty leaders. Ensure compliance with unit and University risk, legal, and fiscal expectations. Monitor and troubleshoot programs while in progress, while simultaneously communicating with multiple stakeholders. Assist in leading programs on an emergency/as-needed basis. Respond to emergencies in accordance with established OIA and University protocols. Serve as a member of the OIA Global Education team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent education/experience
  • 4 years of relevant experience in program/project planning and administration
  • Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to problem solve and create working conditions and relationships conducive to collaboration, diversity, and inclusivity.

  • Experience or degree in agriculture, environmental sciences, or food science.
