About The Position
Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector for our Clatskanie, OR location. This position offers a starting pay of $51.31 per hour and is part of a full-time role that requires 40 hours of work per week. The Certified Welding Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our manufacturing processes, particularly in the production of tissue and paper products. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing guidance and training to other craft employees. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of quality that Georgia-Pacific is known for, particularly in our Consumer Products facility, which produces well-known brands such as Brawny, Angel Soft, Vanity Fair, and Sparkle. In addition to inspection duties, the Certified Welding Inspector will be involved in Work Order Planning and updates to Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP. The position requires a strong understanding of welding processes and the ability to mentor and train other employees in welding techniques. The ideal candidate will have a current Certified Welding Inspector Certification (CWI) and experience in the pulp and paper industry, as well as a background in maintenance or reliability.
