About The Position

Pennoni is currently seeking full-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors in Jacksonville, FL for fabrication shops that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies. The role involves inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials. The inspector will monitor work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications, communicate and meet with fabricators, clients, and engineers, and produce daily written shop reports.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School
• Minimum years of experience: 3
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work well independently and with others
• Need reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

• Experience performing QA/QC of bridge fabrication
• Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT)
• Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures fabrication
• AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience
• Coating Inspection experience
