About The Position

We are looking for a skilled welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facility. The role involves operating appropriate equipment to assemble mechanical structures or parts with precision, ensuring safety and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a welder, with a requirement to complete a test coupon during the interview process.
• Experience with different welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and MMA.
• Experience using electric or manual tools, including inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and weld symbols.
• Certified AWS D1.1 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to understand the specifications to which a part needs to conform to.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method for a job.
• Operate angle grinders to prep parts for weld.
• Align components using fixtures, calipers, and a tape measure and clamp parts in place to weld.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure for flaws.
