We are hiring for a certified welder/iron worker. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of metal construction and the ability to work with various materials and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements
Certified welder/iron worker
General knowledge of plan reading
Basic understanding of specification interpretation
Knowledge of layout and assembly of metal building frames
Knowledge of structural steel components
Ability to rig work for movement by crane
Ability to work at high heights
Physical ability to lift/move steel
Responsibilities
Have a general knowledge of plan reading as well as a basic understanding of specification interpretation
Have knowledge of layout and assembly of metal building frames, structural steel components, buildings, and structures using mechanical fasteners or welding
Have knowledge of miscellaneous metals & metal stair erection
Be able to rig work for movement by crane
Be able to erect steel columns and beams
Be able to work at high heights and be physically able to lift/move steel
