About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support quality operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all welded components meet required codes, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding inspection, a solid understanding of industry standards, and the ability to work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
• 3+ years of welding inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Spot Welding preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• Familiarity with AWS standards and quality systems
• Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welded assemblies
• Ensure compliance with applicable welding codes and standards (AWS, ISO, etc.)
• Review and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications
• Verify welder qualifications and welding procedures (WPS/PQR)
• Identify weld defects and document inspection results accurately
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure consistent output
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation
