About The Position

The Certified Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of water and wastewater treatment plant. This role ensures the water and wastewater treatment processes comply with environmental regulations and standards. The operator will monitor and control the quality of water and wastewater, conduct routine inspections, and perform necessary maintenance to ensure the plant's smooth operation. Primary Responsibilities Operate, maintain, and monitor equipment and processes to ensure proper operation Conduct regular test checks on chemical levels, water quality, and equipment operations Monitor water quality throughout the facility to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Quality control by performing routine testing of water and wastewater to ensure compliance with regulations Compile and enter plant operation and water quality data into SAMS system for use in required reports Record and report accurate operational data and performance metrics Perform routine, corrective, and preventive maintenance on treatment equipment and systems, including minor electrical and mechanical repairs, SCADA system, and variable frequency drives Operate and maintain chemical feed pumps for accurate dosing Oversee grounds and building maintenance Respond to emergency situations and system failures Travel to assigned plants in the local area Work various shifts as the treatment plant operates 24/7 Adhere to safety protocols and procedures All other duties as assigned Personal Attributes Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem Attention to Detail - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task from the beginning to the end of the project/task Communication, Oral & Written- Ability to communicate effectively with others using both the spoken/written word Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures Ethical - Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards Judgment -Ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work- related problems Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one’s conduct. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Water/Wastewater Operator Certification
• Valid Driver License
• Familiarity with and the ability to learn industry software
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
• Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
• Exposure to potential hazards such as chemicals, fumes, and odors
