Credentialed Veterinary Technician Kingdom Animal Hospital St Johnsbury, Vermont Kingdom Animal Hospital is actively looking for a Part-Time Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our amazing team. We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Credentialed Veterinary Technician who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, has experience with x-ray and proper positioning, understands the importance of client education, and is a supportive and positive team player. Responsibilities

• Assists the veterinarian during the examination of animals
• Providing restraint as needed in order to work safely and effectively
• Prepare and administer treatments, as prescribed by the veterinarian
• Collect, prepare, and label samples for laboratory testing, culture, or microscopic examination
• Assist in prepping patients for surgery (or an aptitude to learn)
• Obtain radiographs of animals with knowledge of proper positioning and techniques
• Ensure a comfortable and sanitary environment for all patients
• Responsible for the care of boarding and hospitalized patients
• Prepare and sanitize the surgery suite - clean and maintain holding areas
• Communicate with pet owners using a professional, compassionate, and helpful attitude, using knowledge of preventative health care recommendations to accurately answer questions and relay doctor’s information.
