About The Position

The Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, WI is hiring a full- time Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team! Requirements

CVT required
Minimum of 3 years of technical experience
Technical skill set such as restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement and general nursing care experience is needed.

Nice To Haves

1+ years of veterinary oncology experience
Strong interest in oncology and keen ability to apply knowledge and advance quickly.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Board-Certified Oncologists to manage complex cases and administer life-saving treatments
Understand the safety protocols for safe administration of chemotherapy.
Set up chemotherapy procedures, and perform chemotherapy administration.
Assist in facilitation of imaging and sedation for minor medical procedures.
Retrieve and prepare medical records in advance of patient visits.
Acquire complete medical history and assist with treatment recommendations provided by Oncologist.
Perform all types of venipuncture for all types of blood work and carry out treatment orders to patients.
Complete estimates, basic record keeping, and update patient charges
Other duties as needed
