Our clinics are dedicated to pampering pets throughout the Bradenton area, because we know that healthy pets mean happy people. From advanced diagnostic tools to a team that feels more like family, we are where care meets compassion. 🏞️ All three clinics are only open Monday through Friday, so enjoy your weekends off! Requirements
- Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician within the state of Florida, or an experienced veterinary technician working toward your license in the next 6 months.
- Ability to handle animals with care, even the stressed-out ones.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling tasks like a pro.
- Comfortable using veterinary software for records and documentation.
- Physically fit to handle animals of all sizes- up to 50lbs.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with patient examinations, procedures, and surgeries, ensuring all equipment and supplies are prepared and ready.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Perform various laboratory tests, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and diagnostic imaging.
- Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized and recovering patients, including wound management, IV catheterization, and fluid therapy.
- Educate pet owners on post-operative care, medication administration, and disease management.
- Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment
- Communicate with pet owners, explain treatment plans, providing updates on patient status, and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, and proper handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories.
- Ensure timely and complete documentation in accordance with veterinary standards.
- Collaborate effectively with veterinarians, other veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care and client service.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to veterinary assistants and other team members.
