This recruitment will be used to fill on-call (relief) positions. An on-call employee is an employee whose appointment is intermittent, irregular or is normally less than half-time, but may work up to 35 hours in a work week. On-call positions may be just the right fit for a person with minimal outside responsibilities and who may not want to always have the same routine. The ideal candidate for on-call work must be flexible in their scheduling and be willing to compromise. If you're interested in becoming an On-Call/Relief Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) committed to providing excellent care to animals, providing equitable services to pet owners in the community, and implementing evidence-based best practices in shelter care, then you should join our team! At Multnomah County Animal Services (MSAS), we continually strive to improve how we work by pushing for greater transparency so people have access to information they need to make smart decisions, creating energy to support a thriving workforce, showing respect so everyone can bring their best authentic self to work every day. We are compelled by the opportunity to make a difference. We look for people who can grow, think, lead and inspire, and help shape a culture that thrives on diversity and rewards commitment to public service. We seek leaders, achievers and doers who bring skill and passion to a challenging and evolving environment.
