About The Position
Are you a Certified Veterinary Technician? Join our team at Operation: SNIP! We are a non-profit, HQHVSN and Wellness Clinic. Our mission is to reduce pet overpopulation and the resulting euthanasia of healthy dogs and cats through our affordable services. We are seeking a qualified, independent veterinary professional to join our growing surgical and wellness team. Candidates with dental experience will be given preference. As a Certified Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting veterinarians in providing medical care to animals. Your responsibilities will include performing routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings, as well as administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians. You will monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments, prepare animals for surgery, and assist during surgical procedures. Additionally, you will provide post-operative care and monitor the recovery of animals, perform laboratory tests, analyze samples, and maintain accurate medical records for all patients. Educating pet owners on proper animal care and treatment will also be a key part of your role.
