About The Position
Desert Tails Animal Clinic is seeking a highly motivated and credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing exceptional care to our patients, which include a variety of small animals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a fun-loving personality, and a strong attention to detail. As a member of our team, you will be expected to work at least three Saturday shifts (half days) each month, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that are critical to the operation of our clinic. These include surgical preparation and assistance, drug calculations, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and monitoring anesthesia. You will also perform dental prophylaxis and radiographs, provide patient recovery and nursing care, and engage in client communication and education. Your ability to obtain and record patient history, gently restrain and handle animals, and conduct in-house laboratory procedures will be essential to your success in this position.
