About The Position

This certified teacher will oversee the quality of the academic curriculum for the 21st Grant Program. The responsibilities may include but are not limited to, lesson plan development, alignment to school day curriculum and/or Ohio's Academic Standards, differentiated instructional plans based on a student's individual needs, and monitoring student progress. The teacher needs only be certified in one subject at the grade band served. Works up to 10 hours per week (includes planning time). Programming will occur at Gibbs.

Requirements

BA an education and licensed to teach in Ohio
Experience in interpreting and analyzing education, educational data
Expertise working with youth with academic struggles
Excellent rapport with children and adults
Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Possibly serving on the BLT you serve in after school programming or connecting with students academic teachers on a regular basis
Participate in all professional development activities
Attend required meetings
Collect and review students reading in math diagnostic assessments to ensure alignment with academic plans
Assist and or plan academic lessons and possibly enrichment activities that support daytime lessons, and learning as needed
Submit lesson plans to the Lead Teacher and Site Coordinator
Communicate students academic progress with parents, school day-time staff, and Site Coordinator
Assess and monitor students progress and submit data to site coordinator, extended day, learning specialist, and/or after school program coordinator
Respect the honor of the confidentiality of students and staff in the program.

Available for programming that runs from 9/29/25-4/30/26 Mon-Thurs
Available for Orientation 9/23/25 from 4:15-6:45pm
