About The Position
The person in this position will meet the requirements of VirtualSC's Online Teaching Standards in the Instruction domain by meeting the mastery level in knowing the learners, demonstrating content knowledge, presenting instructional content, ensuring appropriate pacing, selecting resources and activities, motivating students, questioning students, providing academic feedback, and setting expectations. Additionally, they will meet the requirements of VirtualSC's Online Teaching Standards in the Environment domain by mastering the management of student behavior, establishing the online course environment, and maintaining a respectful culture. In the Professionalism domain, the individual will grow and develop professionally, reflect on their teaching practice, and manage courses effectively. The role also involves participation in the course design and revision process, either formally as a subject matter expert (SME) or a second reader, or informally. Furthermore, participation in internal course review and standards alignment processes is expected. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
