Cross Country Education is seeking dynamic and passionate Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to empower students and shape futures in New York, NY , for the '25-'26 school year! Position Overview: Provide a tailored curriculum for deaf or hard of hearing K-12 students, implementing assistive listening devices and other communication technologies. Create and manage IEPs to meet each student's unique needs in language, communication, and academics. Provide training and guidance to staff on related issues and best practices involving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field
- NYSED Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (All Grades) Certification
- Experience with ASL and assistive listening technologies
Responsibilities
- Provide a tailored curriculum for deaf or hard of hearing K-12 students, implementing assistive listening devices and other communication technologies.
- Create and manage IEPs to meet each student's unique needs in language, communication, and academics.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on related issues and best practices involving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
