Certified Tank Inspector
About The Position
Interstate Power Systems is looking for a Certified Tank Inspector at our Omaha Nebraska location The ideal candidate will be tank certified on refined fuels LP tanks and 407 trailers among others Responsible to perform visual internal pressure and leak testing on truck and trailer mounted tanks Also responsible for testing on hazardous material certified tanks The preferred person must have welding experience as well Responsibilities Include but are not limited to perform VIPK inspections timely and accurate completion of paperwork assist with other repairs and PMs in shop as required Helping order parts and maintaining inventory perform necessary tank and trailer test on units and ensure they comply with all government and company standards and regulations Perform repairs to tanksPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job Duties responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice Interstate Companies is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we encourage all qualified and interested persons to apply for this position by submitting a resume for consideration IPSRT Military Friendly Hiring
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years as a Tank Inspector
- Must be Certified
- Must have basic tools up to 1
- Valid Drivers License is required
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience or certifications not required but heavily preferred
- OSHA 10 and MSHA certifications strongly preferred
- CDL is an asset but not required
Responsibilities
- perform VIPK inspections
