About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting with the care and preparation of the surgical patient and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN. The Surgical Technologist has responsibility for the assembly, set-up, and use of surgical instrumentation and equipment during surgical procedures. Work situations are primarily routine but may change rapidly to an emergent or critical situation, and may require both directed and independent decision-making depending on the nature of the situation. MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hub serving Puyallup and East Pierce County. As the area’s only hospital, it features a Family Birth Center, Level III Trauma and Neonatal ICUs, Level I Trauma Rehabilitation Center, Children’s Therapy Unit and a 24-hour Emergency Department. Requirements

Graduate of Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience
Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required prior to start date
Health Care Provider level CPR certification

Nice To Haves

National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
Previous experience preferred
