Requirements

Graduate from an accredited program
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate, within 90 days of hire
Surgical Technician Certification by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
Surgical Technician Certification by National Center for Competency Testing

Responsibilities

Prepare the Operating Room: Ensure the operating room is sterile, set up with the necessary surgical tools, and ready for surgery.
Assist During Surgeries: Work alongside surgeons and nurses to provide direct support during surgical procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
Create a Meaningful Impact: Be at the forefront of patient care, directly contributing to the success of surgeries and the well-being of our patients.
Handle Surgical Instruments & Equipment: Be responsible for the proper handling and maintenance of surgical instruments, ensuring everything is functioning and sterile before use.
Monitor Patient Safety: Assist in positioning patients on the operating table and ensuring they are properly prepared for surgery, maintaining their safety throughout the procedure.
Sterilize Equipment: Clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment for use, following strict infection control protocols.
Document Procedures: Accurately record patient information, surgical instruments used, and other essential details for the medical record.
Assist with Patient Recovery: After surgery, help in transferring patients to recovery rooms and ensure they are comfortable and monitored.
