Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year of OR experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical procedures, and operating room protocols.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies.
• Maintain sterile fields and ensure strict adherence to infection control standards.
• Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
• Inspect, clean, and properly store surgical instruments after use.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other team members to provide optimal patient care.
