About The Position

A large academic medical center in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support the Adult Operating Room . This role requires a highly skilled surgical technologist capable of scrubbing complex procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity teaching environment. The CST will maintain a sterile field and assist surgeons across multiple adult surgical specialties.

Requirements

• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Minimum of 3 years of recent OR experience (within the past 4 years) in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center or comparable large teaching hospital
• Strong experience in Orthopedics, Trauma, Vascular, and General Surgery
• No history of professional license or certification investigation or suspension; must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance
• First-time travelers considered only with extensive experience in facilities of similar size and acuity

Responsibilities

• Provide expert scrub support for a wide range of adult surgical cases, including Trauma, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Vascular, Gynecology, Bariatric, and Neurosurgery
• Prepare and organize sterile fields, surgical instrumentation, and equipment for complex procedures
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and support the surgical team with minimal supervision
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers in a high-volume operating room
