Certified Surgical Technologist
About The Position
Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a permanent opportunity in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting throughout operative procedures. This role collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment, assisting with patient transport and positioning, and scrubbing in to support procedures by anticipating the needs of the surgical team. This position upholds sterile technique, supports efficient room turnover, and contributes to a collaborative, high-performing operating room environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room Surgical Technologist experience required.
- Tech II candidates must be competent to perform as first scrub in at least three of the following specialty areas: Robotic Surgery Total Joints Neuro/Spine Vascular Surgery
- Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT) required.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) through NCCT required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
