As a Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech you will: Work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. Assist surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. Assist in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms. Day to Day duties: Scrub on all cases; GEN, Ortho (trauma/totals/ Sports medicine), OB/GYN. No dedicated Service line teams. All Associates are cross trained for all services. Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations. Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day's cases. Maintain Sterile field during procedures. Handing instruments to surgeons, anticipating surgeon's needs. Maintaining and updating preference cards.4 OR SuitesApprox. 130-200+ cases per month 4 OR Suites Approx- 130-200+ cases per month Schedule-40hrs/week-variable shift start time/ Day of week per surgical volume and current unit needs. TBD during interview with OR Manager Call required- 1-2 weekday/night call shifts and 1x48hr weekend call shift per 4 week schedule. 30 min Callback radius required.

Requirements

• In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
• Basic Computer skills required.
• One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Experience in a specialty field preferred.
• HS Diploma/GED required
• Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required
• BLS from the American Heart Association required
• Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required
• Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
