About The Position

As the Surgical Technologist, you will be an active member of the team in the Operating Room. The Surgical Technologist functions under the direct supervision of the OR nurse. This role is responsible for the sterile field, instrumentation, sterile technique, and other tasks required during the procedure.? You contribute to our success. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program required.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
  • Surgical technologist students may be hired prior to graduation (within 3 months of graduation). Upon graduation, verification of completion of requirements will be verified. Failure to complete graduation requirements can result in termination of the position.?
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 25 pounds.?
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.?

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Promote customer service initiatives.
  • Function as scrub person during operative procedures.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
  • Assist in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing technical duties as assigned
  • Deliver compassionate, holistic care, while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.?
