FTE: 0.9 Shift: Nights Schedule: 12 hour night shifts. Position Summary The Surgical Tech OB is responsible for assisting surgeon during C-sections and ensures the surgical suite is adequately prepared for C-sections. In Addition the Surgical Tech – OB Cleans, wraps and sends all instruments to Central Service for sterilization, ensures labor and delivery rooms are adequately stocked and prepared, and assists Labor and Delivery nurses as needed. Work situations are primarily routine, but may change rapidly to an emergent or critical situation. , This position requires a service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills for the purpose of supporting the delivery of care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups. Independent decision-making is expected in the execution of daily routine duties.

Requirements

Surgical Technologist registration within 90 days of hire
Current BLS certification
Minimum one (1) year of work experience in OB or in the Operating Room preferred
